BIO

Mica has worked for over 7 years as a preschool and K-12 nature-connection teacher and facilitator in the Western North Carolina region, and over 10 years as a multi-modal performing artist with Whee Ahh Faerie Kin, Street Creature Puppet Collective, Asheville FringeFest, his theatre company Appalachian Season, and friends and peers including musician Samara Jade. Mica is a consummate live storyteller, musician, vocalist, stiltwalker, puppeteer, and clown for adults and children of all ages.

Máshenka and the Bear

A Russion tale about a little girl — Mashenka — who is befriended by an over-friendly Bear, who takes Mashenka to live with him in the forest — forever! — and won't let her go!

So Mashenka has to *trick* Bear into taking her back to her parents — but how will she do that? Well, she does it with a Ball, a Stick, a Blanket — plus a huge Basket full of cookies!
